Impact & Skills launch free workwear scheme ahead of Interviews

Updated: Oct 25, 2022

A range of high quality women's workwear has been donated to the foundation for the early days of a new job.

The foundation has received an overwhelming amount of support and donations to provide an extensive corporate wardrobe. We understand that interviewers are prone to first impressions and the right outfit can create a great one, whilst also transforming the candidates confidence.

We usually receive referrals from DWP and local authorities to assist women on having a positive impact and assist getting back to work.

"With the help of the foundation, I was able to wear a gorgeous blazer, a nice handbag and trousers, when going to the interview, I felt the part" - Sade

Client referrals are usually sent from partner organisations, the prison services and also the Job Centre. The foundation is overwhelmed with the amount of donations it has received and most items arriving in immaculate condition.

The project continues to place it's focus on female offenders at the fore-front, although we do occasionally assist homeless women, refugee women and female survivors of domestic abuse. Alongside styling our candidates to join the workforce, we assist with application assistance, job search & interview Q&A.

The charity is keen to hear from individuals who would like to donate clothes, get involved, or have ideas about storage solutions for donations. Please get in touch - Info@impactandskills.org.uk
